Accessories for pH/Ion Meters

BNC extension cables make it easier to measure pH when a sample is more than few feet away from the pH meter and a handheld pH meter just isn’t practical. Though BNC connectors are the most popular pH meter and electrode connection, there are still meters in use with other connectors like US standard, DIN, Metrohm, Radiometer-type connectors. For those you need an adapter if you plan on using BNC extension cables to connect any pH electrode with a BNC connector to these meters. For distances over 25 feet, as is common in industrial applications with a pH meter, a pH controller or a pH transmitter, BNC extension cables are available with a preamplifier to minimize signal loss. These pH accessories are available up to 100 feet in length. Cole-Parmer also offers preamplified pH electrode cables with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) connections and solution grounds for greater accuracy and more stability in applications where temperatures change or electrical interference for other equipment is common. If you already have an amplifier or just want added signal protection, we recommend heavy-duty pH electrode extension cables with shielded, heavy-duty insulation, 5 mm OD cables, and rubber-hooded BNC connector.
