Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) bottles typically with a density range of 0.915–0.925 g/cm3 are generally softer, more malleable which is why the plastic is used for narrow-mouth bottles that are ideal for food product applications. While HDPE narrow-mouth bottles have slightly more density but because they have less branching than their LDPE counterparts they're stronger.
