Carboys

Carboys have been a staple of American laboratories since the 1800s but more people are using them for homebrewing and make wine. Yet many wonder if they are buying the right type or using them in the right way. When using carboys to store fermented products such as beer, be mindful of a couple of factors. Plastic carboys, though reliable, durable and generally used, can scratch easily and be tough to get thoroughly clean. Likewise, while glass carboys are easier to clean, less prone to contamination from say the occasional product scratch, they are glass which means breakable and heavy. Beer connoisseurs love glass and so do many wine makers. Whatever you choose, it's important to get carboys that are FDA-Compliant like the ones we offer through our line, including Jerricans, Fluorinated carboys, UN-Approved, and Heavy-Duty Vacuum.
