This deionizer incorporates an ultrapure mixed bed ion exchange resin which contains a 1:1 chemical equivalent of cation and anion resins with a maximum capacity of 1400 grains as CaCO₃. Yields water with a resistivity as high as 15 to 18 MΩ-cm.

A built-in monitor ensures water quality. If the resistivity falls below 0.2 MΩ-cm, the monitor light turns from green to red. To replace the exhausted resin quickly during a momentary shutdown of the system, order the resin refill (order separately). For a faster, more convenient resin replacement, use the ultrapure resin cartridge (order separately), capacity when used with cartridge is 1050 grains as CaCO₃. The resin for both the refill and cartridge is an FDA-grade ultraclean resin designed for ultrapure water systems.
