- Leak tight & high-pressure connection for corrosive chemical applications
Cole-Parmer can provide quality tubing connectors and pipe fittings to help you set up your fluid handling system with no leaks, flow restrictions or costly downtime. Cole-Parmer's tubing connector range includes barbed fittings for flexible tubing, compression fittings or pipe connectors for rigid tubing. Tubing connectors and pipe fittings are available in sizing to connect anything from microbore tubing up to pipes. We offer a variety of materials such as low cost polypropylene (PP) for general applications to PTFE for corrosive media, formulations that comply with FDA and USP regulations and for no extra charge we can offer certificates of fittings compliance our range in tubing connectors and pipe fittings.
Cole-Parmer provides you with the information you need to select an optimal fitting. We provide the basic physical property information including temperature and pressure rating for each material formulation. Our chemical resistance charts help determine the fitting material with best chemical compatibility to your process.
PFA wetted parts and PVDF nuts provide high purity and excellent chemical resistance. Leak-free design withstands pressures to 225 psi. Ideal for high-vibration or side-load stressed applications Low dead volume reduces particle entrapment, limits bacterial growth in deionized water, and simplifies rinsing. PFA has a low coefficient of friction and therefore does not form a tight seal with standard gripper fittings. Flare fittings are a great alternative to gripper fittings in critical applications. To install Flare fittings you slide the flare nut on to a piece of PFA tubing, the tubing is then heated using a heat gun and then a mandrel is inserted in the fitting to create the flare. The flared end of the tubing is then inserted into the body of the fitting and the nut tightened down on the flare. Choose from the various styles.
