Immunochemistry is a branch of science that studies the immune system and the reactions and components that make up the system. There are two subcategories of immunochemistry, which are listed below:
- Immunohistochemistry - focuses on the binding of antibodies to antigens within tissue samples to label epitopes of interest.
- Immunocytochemistry - utilizes antibodies to target antigens and epitopes of interest on cells that have most of their extracellular matrix removed.
