Unlike the welcome mat your family has at the front door, a cleanroom mat is an adhesive mat that grabs dust, dirt, contaminants, and other particles off of your feet. The sticky mats actually capture the dirt and as the cleaning mats get sullied you are able to peel away the dirt exposing a new and fresh clean mat. Some mats include slip-resistant material on the bottom for safety. Other cleanroom mats are used for comfort within the lab and include a grounding snap for static control. A cleanroom mat is a necessary component for any controlled environment.
