Steam Handling

Stainless steel steam traps are an important accessory to any lab that wants to prevent condensation. Steam traps keep steam space free of condensate to provide maximum system efficiency and are available in thermodynamic, thermostatic, and inverted bucket configurations. Steam trap materials of construction include stainless steel or cast iron with 1/2" to 1" NPT connections and 1/2" and 3/4" Tri-clamp connections. Y-strainers are installed in-line in vertical or horizontal pipelines for added protection against dirt and pipe scale. Included 20 mesh screens remove pipeline debris and protect pipeline components such as valves, pumps, and heat transfer equipment in steam systems. Y-strainers are available in bronze or cast iron with 1/4" to 2" NPT connections. Air eliminators improve the circulation of pressurized liquids by eliminating air and other non-condensable gases; mount at high points to provide immediate removal of air and gases. Cast-iron air eliminators feature stainless steel internal components and are available with 3/4" and 1" NPT connections.
