Sterilizers

Laboratory autoclaves, also known as sterilizers, are devices used to sterilize equipment and supplies. Laboratory autoclaves subject lab glassware and other consumables to high pressure saturated steam at 121°C for around 15-20 minutes. If using steam is not recommended you can also sterilize using dry heat. Cole-Parmer has laboratory autoclaves for any application. Select a dry heat sterilizer for metals and delicate items without the worry of corrosion or distortion. This procedure will not cause an undesirable effect on sharp -cutting edges and will not corrode metal instruments. Dry glass bead models are also available and are perfect for small solid metal and glass implements and destroy microbes in seconds. Both types are compact and space saving. Laboratory autoclaves are convenient and easy to use but if you have questions please do not hesitate to speak with one of our Technical Experts.
