Workstations

When configuring your lab workstation there are a few factors to keep in mind. First, comfort in a lab workstation is not a luxury. A lab workstation should have an adjustable seat, adequate leg room and knee clearance, a computer monitor at least 18 inches away from the worker and a keyboard positioned in the center of the worker. If your current lab workstation doesn’t offer all these essential ergonomic features you might consider purchasing another one. There are various options available including the simple laptop / presentation mobile workstation made from laminate plywood and steel to the traditional steel and laminate top construction to the larger semi-permanent islands that offer resin tops on wood construction. The steel lab workstation with a laminate top offers a great deal of flexibility by providing the option of adding drawers or instrument shelves to expand the staging capabilities of the products.
