  • Pressure measurement for stationary and portable applications
  • ±3% accuracy
  • Gauge fluid included
Inclined liquid manometers are capable of pressure measurements above and below atmospheric as well as differential pressure measurements, and are economically priced, compact and available in both stationary and portable configurations. Construction is simple with virtually indestructible molded white styrene-acrylonitrile housing, indicating tube and fluid wells, molded ABS knobs and zero adjust plunger, shock mounted glass level vial and leak proof 'O' ring seals. These manometers are very easy to use - simply fill the reservoir, adjust fluid level to zero, connect the tubing, and the gauge is ready for operation.

Curved inclined-vertical tube of model 68062-58 provides higher ranges with more easily read increments at low readings and is excellent for general purpose use.

  • Q:

These manometers where installing in what we call bond booths. We spray adhesives as part of our production process and use the air filters to prevent and control affecting the environment. The manometer is used on the other side of the filters to indicate when the filter needs to be replace. We are not sure at which mark on the manometer that should indicate when the filter should be changed. Some of the filters are not replaced until the fluid is at the "1" mark and some filters are replaced at the ".2" mark. Which is correct?

      A:

Unfortunately we do not have an exact number, seeing how all filters and application use is different. Most customers will run the system until the filter is dirty then check and see what the manometer is reading at that point, and mark it down.

  • Q:

If this can used to measure negative air flow in a room, what should the gage read if the room is under negative pressure?
    Asked on 11/14/2013 by Elise

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

This manometer will read 0 to 3.0" H2O, and will not have the capability to measure negative pressures. The instrument would read 0" H20 if placed within a room at a slightly negative ambient pressure. Please contact our technical support department for further information on this unit.

There is no selection tool built into the connection on the back of this simple manometer.

Where do I get the 1/8" connection for the ends of the supplied plastic tubing?

      A:

The replacement brass fitting can be ordered as 00284EK. They are sold as each, so you will want to order two to fully replace the fittings on the manometer.

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

At the HVAC ductwork you do need bulkhead adapters to connect to both sides of the air filter in question. At the manometer you connect the two pieces of tubing to the appropriate fitting on the back side of the unit.

No, this unit will only read in inches of water.

    • A:

The answer provided by Mike is hilarious!
If it is a differential manometer it can measure pressure or vacuum, in inches of water, of course.
The Model 25 might have enough sensitivity for the purpose you suggest.
