Single-Point Control
Common application: Keep tank from overflowing or running dry
Compatible sensor types: Float or optic
How it works: Each time the liquid reaches a critical level, the sensor turns on a pump or opens a valve to prevent the tank fromoverflowing/running dry.

Dual-Point Control
Common application: Keep tank filled between two critical points
Compatible sensor types: Same as for single-point control
How it works: Install sensors at two critical points. If liquid falls below the lower sensor, the detector activates a pump until liquid reaches the upper sensor.

Continuous-Level Control
Common application: Control level at all points and times, possibly activating a pump, valve, or alarm.
Compatible sensor types: Ultrasonic
How it works: Continuous-level sensors have a continuous analog output that is proportional to the level at all times. Level may be recorded with an external device.

Leak Detection
Common application: Detect leak in a pipe, possibly activating a pump, valve, or alarm.
Compatible sensor types: Optic
How it works: Install one or more sensors around a container or pipe. If the sensor detects liquid, it activates alarms or pump systems.This new proximity switch has single point alarming and switching - great for controlling bottle filling operations, dual containment pipes. It can "see" through plastic, glass, and fiberglass up to 1/2" wall thickness. The sensor detects liquids with a dielectric above 10 and dry material with a density above 10 lb/ft3.
Installation is easy - mount the switch on the outside of a plastic tank or in a metal tank using the mounting accessories (sold separately below). Install relay assembly 43205-65 to actuate pumps, valves, or alarms above 10 amps. Sensor is enclosed in a durable NEMA 4X ABS plasitc housing and includes a 7-ft cable.
