Use this heavy-duty plate mill for a variety of grinding applications: food, pharmaceutical, chemical, soil testing, and ore and coal sampling. Grinding unit is constructed of cast iron and coated with lead-free tin for food handling applications. Adjust the thumbscrew on the grinding unit to change the plate gap from 1/4" open to nearly closed. Includes grinding plates for fine grinding; for coarse grinding, order optional coarse grinding plate set 04146-53 separately. Grinding plates and feeds are made of durable iron alloy. Use the tooth feed (included) for dry materials and the worm feed (optional) for wet or oily materials.
