Ensure safe temperatures of food and food holding areas
A bimetal thermometer uses an element made of two different metals to move a pointer as the temperature changes. Typically, the element is a strip made of copper or steel and brass. Since different metals expand at different rates when heated, a strip of joined bimetals can be used to record a temperature change by the corresponding mechanical displacement. Most commonly, the strip is coiled within the thermometer. The coil will get larger or smaller depending on temperature change and will directly move the needle on the face of the dial to indicate temperature. An economical bimetal thermometer requires no power—simply read the measurement from the dial. But an industrial bimetal thermometer is usually rugged for everyday use. The instrument offers large dials for easy reading and durable stainless steel construction. Choose from back-connected, bottom-mounted, or adjustable -angle dials to match your required viewing angle. Dampened and silicone-filled bimetal thermometers provide reliable temperature readouts in high-vibration settings like in a manufacturing plant. Hanging thermometers are can be used in refrigerators, freezers, and ovens. Also a penetration bimetal thermometer is used for determining internal temperature of foods especially meats during cooking.Displays current refrigerator or freezer temperature.
Tube indicates safe temperature zones; is filled with a nontoxic
liquid. Suction cups included.
