This easy to use, low cost gauge provides a simple, accurate, and reliable way to measure
coatings on smooth ferrous (steel) and non-ferrous (aluminum) substrates. The gauge is easy to use and provides on screen instructions guiding you through all of the functions in over 20 user selectable languages. The integral Bigfoot™ probe features a v-groove design allowing you to accurately position on smooth, flat surfaces ensuring repeatable measurements. User selectable metric or imperial units display measurements in microns or mils. The ergonomic design makes the gauge comfortable and easy to hold, and the large easy-to-read angled LCD display is perfect for viewing from all angles.
Unit features auto switching to ferrous or non-ferrous capability making it ideal for measuring paint or powder on both steel and aluminum surfaces. The zero cal feature allows for easy calibration and gauge includes a factory calibration reset if you have no access to an uncoated substrate. Constructed form rugged ABS plastic, this gauge is ideal for any paint and powder coating environment.
Can be used in accordance with: BS 5411 (11) (3), BS 3900 (C5), BS 5599, BS EN ISO 1461, ISO 2178, ISO 2360, ISO 2808 SSPC-PA2 2004, DIN 50984, DIN 50981, ASTM B 244, ASTM B 499 , ASTM D 1400, and ASTM D 1186.

54102-00 includes four check foils (50, 125, 500 & 1000 µm / 2, 5, 20 & 40 mils), soft carry case, and two AAA batteries. 54102-01 includes four check foils (25, 75, 125 & 250 µm / 1, 3, 5 & 10 mils), ferrous checkpiece, non-ferrous checkpiece, soft carry case, and two AAA batteries.
