    • Q:

Is this suitable/practical for portable testing of UV protection offered by eyewear?
Asked on 2/13/2014 by Matthew from Surrey

      1 answer

      • STAFF EXPERT

        A:

This meter will give the intensity of UV light. Eye wear could reduce the intensity, but we are not sure if there is a good way to quantify it using this meter.

Asked on 8/22/2011 by Ramon from Richmond, B.C.

      1 answer

      • Staff Reviewer

        A:

Probably not, this meter is used to measure UV or ultra-violet light levels (like from the sun, and certain/specific lamps that produce UV light). If you are simply trying to test for light levels in terms of brightness or darkness, part number 40400-20 would be more appropriate. Please call is for further assistance.

    • Q:

At what time intervals can this equipment store data? Can I set the intervals myself?
Asked on 5/12/2010 by Ekaterina from Gothenburg, Sweden

      1 answer

      • STAFF EXPERT

        A:

In the auto recording mode the time intervals cannot be set manually. The time intervals available for auto recording are 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 seconds or 1, 3, 5, 10 minutes.
You may manually record data points in the Normal Mode by pressing the M to store the current value that appears on the primary display. The flashing DATA(01~20) icon stops flashing for 2 seconds and moves to the next storage location.
