Releasing in Late February! 2013/14 Cole-Parmer® Sourcebook: Find dynamic product solutions for your laboratory or processes in this NEW 2,640-page catalog. Select from thousands of items, from electrochemistry to fluid handling to research and biotech, and more. It’s packed with technical data for your reference and contact information for expert technical assistance.

Here’s a sneak peek at a few new products:

All New! Shuttle Portable Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers from Cole-Parmer. Now, SizedCP_PortableShuttleFreezer_44199_05a lightweight portable freezer with ultra-low -86ºC to -20ºC temperature range can go places a conventional compressor freezer cannot go. The new energy-efficient Shuttle Portable Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer from Cole-Parmer offers secure mobile transport of high-value vaccines or biological specimens. Its unique functionality is ideal for biorepositories, laboratories, tissue banks,  and other applications in research, and pharmaceutical distribution.

A Stirling engine operates the low temperature freezer, which requires no compressors, dry ice, or LN2, and expends the same volume of energy as a conventional light bulb. Weighing 42 lbs, the portable freezer is efficient for both benchtop and field uses. A weather-resistant touchpad offers digital temperature display indicating interior temperature and error codes. It includes temperature presets of -20, -40, or -86°C and a system lock indicator. Adjust by 1°C intervals. A double gasket seals the interior chamber and provides dual protection against moisture and heat gain. Operates on both AC/DC (12V) power by simply switching the included power cord.

CP_Symmetry_EC_BalanceWith an updated design, the popular Cole-Parmer® Symmetry® EC Toploading Balances are an even more exceptional choice in weighing. For general-purpose weighing applications, these laboratory balances or weigh scales offer accuracy and traceability, including a print function for GLP compliance. The balances now include a bigger screen and easier-to-use keypad. A no-hassle single-unit draft shield is more durable and the balance’s adjustable feet offer greater stability. For operational ease, the balances feature a capacity tracker that warns of approaching overload conditions and a security lock-down port. The below-balance weigh hook can be used for density determination applications. An internal rechargeable battery offers convenient portability. The RS-232 interface allows for communication with a printer.

CP_Masterflex_CL_77122_00New Masterflex® C/L® Tubing Pumps from Cole-Parmer now feature a redesigned head with significant mechanical and ergonomic improvements. The new head provides more secure tubing retention and more consistent performance over the full range of tubing sizes and flow. A single motion opens the cover and releases the occlusion bed for quicker and easier tubing changes. Tubing retainers are self adjusting to accommodate tubing of different diameters.

The peristaltic pumps are encased in a stackable, compact ¼-DIN housing for mounting in an equipment rack or for convenient placement on a lab bench. Pump head construction is of chemical-resistant engineered plastics and stainless steel. In addition, these pumps offer the flexibility of remote start/stop via contact closure, reversible flow, and a max-speed button for fast priming.

Three motor speed ranges deliver a flow range of 0.002 to 43 mL/min depending on tubing size. These pumps accept microbore/autoanalysis tubing in continuous lengths for fast, easy loading with no occlusion or tension adjustment.
