Lab Equipment: Calorimeters in Chemical Property Testing

Calorimeters, an essential part of calorimetry, measure the quantity of heat transferred to or from an object. These instruments help monitor the temperatures of chemical reactions. They are part of a varied array of temperature data loggers that cover a range of applications.

For measuring ambient storage conditions of pharmaceuticals, food, or temperature-sensitive warehouse goods, several mountable data logging solutions accurately measure and log temperature, including wired and wireless models.

Calorimeter-C-2000-Basic-V2-115VYou can also choose from various types of calorimeters. The bomb calorimeter offers a high level of automation, which is versatile for many uses. All of the process, excluding the sample preparation for determining the Gross Calorific Values (GCV) of a solid or liquid sample, can be done by the calorimeter.

A single bomb covers the GCV as low as 375 kcal/kg and as high as 12000 kcal/kg. The bombs available are normal bomb and special halogen resistant bombs.
