New Dual-Channel Touch-Screen Syringe Pump Is Like Having Two Pumps in One

Cole-Parmer® Dual Independent Channel Touch-Screen Syringe Pump

Syringe pumps are great for low-flow, low-pressure applications. If you have viscous fluids or particulate matter, a syringe pump is typically not an appropriate selection for your application. This type of pump is a high-accuracy pump that either draws in or pushes out liquid through a syringe to obtain a known volume as determined by the size of the syringe. Up to ten syringes can be used on one pump. Pumps vary by either nanoliter flow or high-pressure precise injections.

The new Masterflex® Dual-Channel Touch-Screen Syringe Pump is like getting two pumps in one. Each channel on this pump has its own motor and plunger drive, so scientists and lab technicians can program different syringe sizes, dispensing rates, and alternate directions. Large touch screen and user-friendly, icon-driven software make setup quick and straightforward.

Additionally, this pump offers three modes of operation to satisfy life science and industrial applications: independent, reciprocating, and twin. The independent mode allows the pump to function as two separate instruments with unique programming for syringe type and size, force, rate, and target volume or time. The reciprocating mode operates the two syringes in opposite directions with the same syringe type and size, and rate. Twin mode functions like traditional dual-syringe pumps using the same syringe type and size, force, rate, and target volume or time.

Other features include:

  • Full touch-screen enables you to quickly create configurations and recall them later
  • Pump can be placed on its side to provide a smaller footprint with the touch-screen display automatically rotating
  • Accuracy of ±0.355% and reproducibility of ±0.05%
  • Daisy chain up to 99 pumps together with the built-in RS-485 connectivity
  • LED indicator on the front panel provides visual confirmation that the pump is operating
  • Accepts any type of syringe—glass, plastic, or stainless steel from 0.5 µL to 140 mL
  • Full metal chassis provides noise isolation and antivibration features for increased reliability

  3. Hello,
Is there a user manual for this specific pump setup? I followed the hyperlink in the article, but it took me to the MasterFlex pump. I have the Cole-Parmer one in my possession so is it possible to get this manual? Thank you!

      Hello:

We renamed all of the pumps from Cole-Parmer to Masterflex, so it should be the same pump but just with a different name now. You can also contact [email protected] for additional information.
