New Masterflex Ultrasonic Flow Sensors: Get a Handle on Flow without Contacting the Working Fluid

Flow Sensor

Our Masterflex® product line continues to grow. Our popular fluid handling product line now includes Masterflex Ultrasonic Flow Sensors. These flow sensors accurately and noninvasively measure the flow rate of liquid in tubing associated with peristaltic pumps.

The clamp-on sensor design is particularly suited for applications where strict hygienic standards are required. Set up is as simple as placing the tubing in the sensor channel and closing the clamp lid. Since the sensor never contacts the working fluid, it is reusable in single-use applications providing significant recurring savings.

Each sensor is optimized for Masterflex tubing sizes and comes calibrated to NIST-traceable standards for Masterflex platinum-cured silicone tubing when water is the working fluid and across the full flow range. Adapt for use with other working fluids or Masterflex tubing materials of the same size with the optional communications package. For best accuracy, the sensor should be calibrated for the specific working fluid.

The optional communications package lets you adapt the flow sensor for your application, then monitor and record data. Adjust sensor parameters including tubing material, working fluid and temperature to calibrate for your application. Then monitor your data in real-time graphically, or capture and export to analyze your process. Connect sensors directly to a computer or to any meter or controller that accepts RS-485, 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 kHz, or PNP-NPN push-pull inputs.
