What you see is what you get. The dry ice made is of low density, but this was expected, and we use it as a useful back in the case the commercial dry ice runs out. Wouldn't use it to send samples out but good for in house use. It is very easy and straightforward to use. A word of warning this machine had to be adapted for european gas cylinders, which cole-parmer couldn't do, so we sent it via a gas engineering company who modified the connection from U.S to UK standard. There is a connection adaptor in the cole-parmer catalogue, but this is no longer available.

This might work for some applications, but the soft, snow like blocks do not create enough cold for shipping temperature sensitive products, like vaccines. Wonder how it's made commercially that makes the blocks so dense and heavy.
