 | Our most popular combination electrodes | | These economical combination electrodes are ideal for your general-purpose applications in the lab or field. They have the impact-resistant qualities of an epoxy body. Electrodes provide a fast, stable response and are ideal for prolonged ORP readings. Sealed, gel-filled design requires virtually no maintenance. Electrodes measure 127 mm L x 12 mm dia and withstand temperatures to 176°F (80°C). Electrodes include a BNC connector. |

Q: Our electrode has developed breaks/bubbles in its gel. The spare electrode (purchased at the same time as the one that was in use)was taken out of the drawer and also found to have breaks in the gel. Could you advise on the reliability of these electrodes and if any remedies for this problem are available? Asked on 6/8/2010 by Caryn from Surrey Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: As strange as it sounds, the best way to get all the gel to the correct end of the probe is to swing it in a circle over your head (like a helicopter) or off to your side (like a jumping rope) by the cable. Q: I purchased this electrode, does the electrode take in to account temperature and how does this affect the accuracy of my readings? Asked on 5/27/2010 by EPG from Toledo, OH Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This electrode does not include a temperature sensor. pH changes with temperature, most meters will correct for this (with a temperature probe or entered value). Please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found on the product web page). Answered on 5/28/2010 by David from Tech Support
Q: hi, I want to order a ph probe but I am not sure about the part number or are they al std plug. My manual says that I need E-201-C9 combination and the number on the probe is 11007406M I need the part to match but not exactly because I want the replacement with a tip protected. could you tell me the part number to order? Asked on 12/17/2009 by lab person from Glendale Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I was unable to cross reference either of the part numbers you gave in our system. Most pH meters have a "BNC" connection, it is typical and standard currently. A BNC connection is circular, and looks like a collar around a pin in the middle. pH meters use the same technology so, yes, the probes are interchangeable most of the time. We would be more than happy to help you choose a proper replacement electrode (with bulb guard). Please contact us by phone or email and tell us about how you will be using the probe, and what you'll be taking the pH of, and we can then make a suggestion. Q: Can this probe be used for ph readings in tank yogurt,is it available with 6ft cable Asked on 12/14/2009 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Please note that this is not a "submersible" or industrial type electrode that would go into a tank. However, it would work just as well. WE do not offer it with a longer cable, but you may want to look into an extension cable like part number 05992-01. Answered on 12/15/2009 by Jen from Technical Support
