Can this thermometer be used with oven to replace the mercury filled one which is place on a thermomether holder on top?

        A:

It may be able to replace it. This thermometer has a 125mm immersion depth. So, the tip will need to be in the oven to the specified line in order to provide and accurate reading. If the thermometer tip is not in far enough, or in too far you will not see an accurate temperature reading.
