  • Ensure optimal performance from your Masterflex® pump
  • Slightly greater clarity than peroxide-cured tubing
  • Smooth surfaces; lower protein binding levels
  • Fewer potential leachables
  • Ideal for pharmaceutical and biotechnology use
Masterflex L/S pump tubing is manufactured to extremely close tolerances that match our L/S pump heads, ensuring accurate, repeatable flow and long tubing life. Our pump tubing is factory-tested and optically inspected to provide the best performance from your peristaltic pump. Our High-performance precision pump tubing features a thicker wall compared to our Precision pump tubing, making it the best choice for applications involving pressure, suction lift, viscous fluids, or long tubing life.
Flow ranges are approximate—calculated under the following conditions: 0 psig at inlet, 0.5 psig at outlet; water temperature at 72°F (22°C). Actual performance varies depending on tubing formulation—silicone and C-Flex are only recommended for applications with 10 psig (0.7 bar) backpressure or less.

This tubing is not sold pre-sterilized. This service may be available for larger quantities. Otherwise, it can also be autoclaved.

  • Q:

Can this product be steam autoclaved? If so, at what temperature?
Asked on 4/4/2013 by Chris from Indianapolis, IN

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

Yes, this tubing may be sterilized via autoclave. We suggest loosely coiling the tubing in a non-linting cloth or paper, and autoclaving for 30 minutes at 121 C and 15 psi.

      A:

The wall thickness and outer diameter of MasterFlex L/S, I/P, and B/T tubing is considered proprietary.

  • Q:

Does the OD of the tubing matter when I am using a Masterflex Easyload Model 77200-52?
Asked on 4/27/2011 by tony from cleveland

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

The 77200-52 head will accept L/S tubing sizes 15, 24, 35, and 36. The outer diameter (OD) and wall dimensions are proprietary for these sizes, and please note the use of nominal tubing in a MasterFlex system will void the warranty of the system.
The OD is not so important since flexible tubing uses hosebarb connections and the amount dispensed has more to do with the internal diameter.

  • Q:

we have the masterflex perasteltic heads fitted and recomendation on these and sample tubing is 96410-16 what is the differance between the -15 and -16
Asked on 1/9/2011 by paul from doncaster england

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

The 96410-15 is L/S size 15 tubing. It has a thicker wall than the 96410-16 and larger inner diameter (3/16" instead of 1/8"); the -15 is intended for use in the HP style heads.

  • Q:

What is the ID of this tubing and what is the difference between L/S 15 and L/S 16?
Asked on 5/26/2010 by Anonymous from Mpls, MN

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

The inner diameter of the L/S 15 is 4.8 mm, the L/S 16 has an ID of 3.2mm. The wall thickness is different, the L/S 15 is the smallest of our high performance tubing that is used to achieve high pressures and handle viscous fluids better. The L/S 16 is a mid-size tubing in our precision tubing line, meant for general purpose applications.
A different pump head is used as well. Please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found in the "contact us" section on the web page).

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

This tubing is USP Class VI, FDA, and 3A certified for low extractables, adsorption, and absorption. For additional documentation please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found on the product web page).
