When we learn how our products are being used to move science forward, it’s exciting. You have to check out this unique research project that uses our Masterflex® peristaltic pumps. One of our colleagues in the UK shared this video clip from the BBC Series, The Human Body: Secrets of Your Life Revealed. In this clip from Series 1, Grow, a Harvard researcher is using the Masterflex L/S® with the Easy-Load® II pump head to try to lab grow a human heart for transplant. He is using a heart that was donated for research. Apparently, trying to grow a human heart from scratch is nearly impossible given the complexity of the heart, according to the information provided from the BBC video clip.
