Other employees in our organization still work in labs at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeptometrix.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ZeptoMetrix<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spex.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Spex<\/a> facilities conducting research and developing products to help make your job a little easier and your lab more efficient. So, as we celebrate you, we also celebrate our employees behind the bench\u2014all of you making remarkable advances in science.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week?<\/h2>\n<p>Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (MLPW) takes place on the last full week in April. It originated in 1975 at National Medical Laboratory Week. It was formed to provide the profession with a unique opportunity to increase public understanding of and appreciation for clinical laboratory personnel. It is coordinated from a coalition of <a href=\"https:\/\/ascls.org\/mlpw-sponsoring-organizations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow noopener noreferrer\">17 national clinical laboratory organizations.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>How to celebrate and promote this week<\/h2>\n<p>If you are looking to find ways to celebrate and bring more awareness to this profession, or want to learn more, there are many events happening in person and virtually that you can attend through the American Society of Clinical Lab Management (<a href=\"https:\/\/ascls.org\/lab-week-mlpw\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ASCLS)<\/a>. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also has a variety of tools you can download and use to promote the week.
