Compact Microscopes:<\/b><\/a> Small, easy-to-move microscopes are well suited for industrial applications in quality control and inspection.<\/p>\n

Stereo and Stereozoom Microscopes:<\/b><\/a> <\/b>Also known as dissecting microscopes, <\/b>these low-power (magnification up to 100x) <\/b>microscopes have a separate eyepiece and <\/b>objective lens for each eye. Enable stereo or <\/b>three-dimensional images of the specimen. <\/b>Longer working distance allows viewing of <\/b>bigger samples such as circuit boards for <\/b>quality control applications. Stereozoom <\/b>microscopes have continuous magnification <\/b>adjustment\u2014no need to turn to a different <\/b>objective lens. Models with built-in cameras <\/b>are also available.<\/p>\n

Digital Microscope<\/p><\/div>\n

Compound Microscopes<\/b><\/a>:<\/b> Provide higher magnification\/resolution (up to 1000x) than stereo microscopes. Ideal for tissue samples and\u00a0bacteria identification. They use two lenses, the objective and the eyepiece, to \u201ccompound\u201d the magnification. Specialty models include inverted, phase-contrast, metallurgical, and microscopes with built-in cameras.<\/p>\n

Digital Microscopes and Cameras<\/b><\/a>:<\/b> Cameras allow you to capture an image of what appears in the microscope. There are cameras that can be mounted to a microscope or stand-alone versions that don\u2019t require a microscope. Download images to a computer or view them directly on a monitor.<\/p>\n
