Vibration Measurement

Vibration Measurement
A vibration tester is an important tool to keep your equipment in top shape. A vibration tester can capture any displacement, velocity, or acceleration of equipment over time. Displacement measures the distance the equipment moves. It's necessary to know the rpm of the equipment to establish a vibration limit for displacement. Velocity measures the rate of displacement and is proportional to the destructive vibration forces of the equipment. Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. A vibration tester can use a remote accelerometer which has a magnetic adapter to stick to equipment or a sensor can be attached to a vibration meter for direct measurements.
