Comments about None 50 mL, PP vial with graduations, 500 pack:

A solid product with good seal, though we do use Parafilm when shipping using this product. Bulk pack offers good savings, but for casual users, smaller prepacked packs with caps affixed might be a better solution

    • Q:

Are these flat bottomed or pointed?
Asked on 2/11/2014 by Lab Rat

      1 answer

It has a pointed bottom, but has a skirt that allows the tube to stand up on a table. In other words, the liquid would come to a point inside.

    • Q:

I have to complete about 50 titrations, and part of the procedure is dissolving powdered rock in hydrofluoric acid for six hours. These vials seem like what we need, but I just wanted to make sure that they would stand up to HF and a 60 degree water bath. Thank you.

Polypropylene is not chemically compatible with HF above 50% concentration or 120F. If the concentration of HF you are using is about 50% then you will need to use a more inert plastic, like FEP, PFA, or PVDF.
