    Hi,
    I know that the glass beads are autoclavable.
    My question is, please, can I autoclave also the bottle?
    My idea is to autoclave the beads on their own container.

      A:

      Per the manufacturer, these bottles have not been autoclave tested. You can test the bottles on your own. The bottles are made out of HDPE.

      The 0.1 mm beads do not have this data. Below is the data for the smallest sizes available.

      Diameter Resistance to compression
      1.00 – 1.30 mm 250 – 350 N
      1.25 – 1.65 mm 350 – 500 N
      1.55 – 1.85 mm 500 – 650 N
      1.70 – 2.10 mm 600 – 750 N
      2.00 – 2.40 mm 750 – 900 N

      The 0.1 to 1.5mm dia beads would be the smallest which could be provided.

      This is a lead free glass (67% silica, 30% Na, K, Ba, Ca). The density is 2.5 g/ml and the hardness is 7 Mohs (47 Rockwell).
