Comments about Cole-Parmer All-in-One pH/ATC Probe, Refillable/DJ/Glass:

I was disappointed with new design. It is very fragile and we broke 2 immediately. CP answered my e-mail but failed to resolve anything. THe only reason I continue to use the product is because I have not found a new Ph meter yet to replace these electrodes.

Pros

  • Exhibits Correct Properties

Cons

  • Exceptionally Fragile
  • No Refill Stopper

Best Uses

Comments about Cole-Parmer All-in-One pH/ATC Probe, Refillable/DJ/Glass:

Measuring pH in solutions at elevated temperatures. The body cracks very easily as does the tip if not handled with extreme care. There is NO stopper in the refill port that allows contaminates in if dropped into a flask, or solution to escape if not held appropriately.

  • Q:

what storage solution should the probe be in when not in use. We use it about 20 minutes per hour 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for untreated lake and potable water. 4.01 buffer?
Asked on 3/9/2016 by macattack from macomb,IL

      A:

You can store the prob ein storage solution such as catalog number 0653-04, or pH 4.01 buffer solution such as catalog number 00654-00. Ideally storage solution would be ideal but the important concept to consider is ensuring the probe does not dry out and is kept hydrated.

  • Q:

I need a pH meter to measure alkaline solutions which could reach 12 or even more and I need the results to be stabilized within seconds. Is that type of pH meter is suitable for my test. and I would like to know what is included in this product and what are the other items that I should buy in addition to this product.

      A:

In addition to this probe, which has a special glass bulb made to have low interference at high pH levels, would need a meter to pair with it. For faster response and to make a suggestions, we would know what is specifically in your alkaline solutions and the conditions, like temperature, of your testing. Please call so we may get more information about your application and in order to make a more informed suggestion.

  • Q:

Would this electrode work on an Accumet XL60 meter?
    Asked on 7/15/2011 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

no, the ATC on this probe uses a different element than the XL60 meter accepts. The pH would work but not the temperature(ATC) You could use 05991-32 for a low sodium electrode, and a separate ATC probe, 94000-62.
