More About this Item

These meters measure flow via pressure drop across a laminar flow element (LFE). Because the flow element makes the flow stream laminar, placement in the process does not require straight pipe runs upstream or downstream of the meter, greatly simplifying installation. As compared to thermal mass technologies, the LFE design provides an ultrafast response within 10 milliseconds and offers “instant
on” with no warm-up time.

An integrated keypad around the display is all that is required to program the unit for service. The 0 to 5 VDC output allows transmission of the flow value to a remote display, recorder, or controller regulating a valve or pump.

    What are the fitting thread diameters and type? Is it Swagelock compatible?

      The process connection is a 10-32 UNF, which is a small threaded fitting commonly used for chromatography systems in conjunction with compression adapters for rigid tubing. For example, see 01939-00 or 01939-10.

  • Q:

    This unit was recommended to me as a flow meter for my icp sample uptake tubing. However, this is strictly for gasses right. Can it be used for a liquid? The liquid would be corrosive.

      This flowmeter cannot be used with liquids. The technical representative may have thought this would be for an argon line. For corrosive liquids compatible with stainless steel, see 32710-24.
