Use these high-quality PVC-free port disks with hose barbs to transfer fluids, buffers, media, and drug compounds from single-use bags used in pharmaceutical and medical industries. Ultrasonic, radio frequency, or thermal weld port disks to polyethylene medical and bioreactor bags to easily transfer fluids. Port disks with opposing barbs allow a port on each side of the bag to easily split the flow.
Engage™ 8402 polyolefin is odorless, translucent, and animal-derivative-free ethylene-octene copolymer that offers high clarity for easier visual inspection. It offers excellent durability while providing flexibility. The flexible disk curves with the bag and the barb flexes, minimizing the risk of it cracking with sideload. The polymer withstands aqueous acids, bases, alcohols, glycols, esters, and ketones.
Disks are manufactured, double bagged, and sealed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom to ensure that the integrity is not compromised. An ISO Class 7 cleanroom utilizes HEPA filtration systems to maintain air cleanliness levels of less than 10,000 particles of 0.5 µm or larger per cubic foot.
