Not as pictured; these crack in months

Comments about Cole-Parmer Stopcock with Luer Connections; 1-way; male lock, Non-sterile:

(These are not as pictured but have been replaced by an inferior product!) These crack and then leak fluid after 1 to several months of normal, easy use and have to be replaced. They crack at the juncture with the turn-valve, but these valves have to be turned to use the product properly, of course. We use typical physiological salines at room temperature, nothing harsh. As in another review here, we were looking for the blue-handled, clear plastic ones because those are sturdy and withstand several years of easy use. Instead, these are white-handled, purplish-clear plastic like the ones we were trying to replace because of cracking and subsequent leakage.

    No rotation lock

Comments about Cole-Parmer Stopcock with Luer Connections; 1-way; male lock, Non-sterile:

Not as pictured. Does not have rotation lock to stop at 90 degrees as advertised. The version of this item previously supplied did (the blue handled, branded version), the current (white handled, generic) does not. New version leakier, seems ot be generally inferior product.

Comments about Cole-Parmer Stopcock with Luer Connections; 1-way; male lock, Non-sterile:

This stopcock is easy to use, but often develops hairline cracks after turning the knob frequently during use. The hairline cracks are large enough to allow fluid to drip out. If working with a critical material, I would recommend using the PVDF or stainless steel versions of this stopcock instead of this polycarbonate version.

Useful and gets the job done. Would not Does not allow air to slip by but can be tough to get open and allow the right amount of air out if you are stuck for time.

ISO requires a 45 psi pressure and this unit will handle at least this amount. The unit may support higher pressures, but these units are not recommended for use above 45psi.

            A:

Luer connections are standardized. Most syringes also have luer connections, regardless of the volume capacity, so the answer is most likely, yes this should connect directly.

The bore is 0.115" through the stopcock. The total length is roughly 2 inches. These have standard male slip tip and female luer lock connections.
