  • Q:

Are these tubes low-protein binding, as WZ-01945-45 tubes were? If so, what sort of protein-binding capacity do they have and do they come 'certified' as low protein-binding? If not, are there any 50 mL PP tubes that are? Thanks!

      A:

These are Sterile, certified nonpyrogenic and DNase-/RNase-free. These are made of PP, which naturally has lower protein binding properties than PS. The PS the 01945-45 tubes were made of was specially treated, hence the need for a low protein binding statement.
