This does not have a pressure rating. The unit is designed to be used in non pressure applications.

          A:

The drying tubes have a shelf life of about six months. They can be stored in a variety of ways, there are plastic end caps that prevent the product from absorbing moisture from the environment while in storage. There is a 20 micron filter on each end.

      • Q:

I want to make an inline dehydration of ethanol. But I can't find suitable products. Can I use this product and replace the inside with molecular sieve 3A? What is the inside dimension of this tube? IS there any other fitting options such as compression fitting?
Asked on 10/8/2010 by Chen from Singapore

        • STAFF EXPERT

          A:

This product is designed for one-time use. The end caps are adhesively sealed and cannot be removed. Part 07193-00 does have replaceable Drierite, though it is a larger unit.

Unfortunately there are no other fitting options available for these tubes either.

Does the filter need to be oriented in a particular direction or can it be used in an application where it is rotating slowy at 0.5 rpm?

          A:

There is no specific orientation these need to be in; such a slow rotation will not affect these tubes.

I need a flow rate of 5-10 liters/min. Will these columns allow this flow rate?

These are designed to work up to 300mL/min or 0.3L/min maximum. For the flowrate you desire you will need part number 01418-50 instead.

These tubes are meant to be disposable as the filter at the end of the tube is not replaceable. These tubes use anhydrous calcium sulfate, which is not renewable like silica or alumina silicate.
