More About this Item
Quickly determine the location of opens, shorts, and crosswires with the MicroScanner industrial Ethernet cable verifier kits. Since cable failures result in costly production downtime, it is vital to replace or repair broken cables fast. View cable length, wiremap and distance to fault on a large LCD, making it easy to identify the location of the fault. The MicroScanner PoE models help determine if a problem is caused by insufficient power or the powered device.
Select from three test modes: cable test, tone, or power over Ethernet (PoE). Use the cable test mode to measure the cable length, verify wiremap, identify remote ID locators, and detect Ethernet ports. Tone mode helps locate cables by generating IntelliTone™ and normal analog signals. In the PoE mode, MicroScanner 2 verifier solicits and detects the presence of 802.3af compatiblePoE devices while Microscanner PoE verifiers solicits and detects the presence of 802.3af, at, bt, and UPOE (Cisco’s Universal Power over Ethernet) compatible PoE devices.
MicroScanner 2 cable verifier detects the advertised speed of 802.3 Ethernet ports with speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps. Use the verifier to test twisted pair (UTP, FTP, and SSTP) cables as well as coaxial (75, 50, and 90 O) cables up to 460 m (1500 ft).
