The P8000 polarimeter is suitable for most basic applications but is especially recommended in cases of high sample throughput in the sugar industry. It can determine concentrations in raw materials, preliminary, intermediate, and end products. It can also determine sugar concentrations and monitor chemical processes such as the manufacture of invert sugar. It is suitable for nearly all samples as the parts that encounter the sample are chemical resistant. Instead of temperature control, the temperature can be compensated according to ICUMSA. That allows you to take measurements at any temperature; the results will then be converted to the desired temperature. In addition, the international sugar scale has been predefined and the initial weight is considered for the conversion into the specific rotation.
The seven-inch glass touch screen display can be operated with gloves and cleaned with solvents. It also reduces glare effects in sunlight. Measurements can be done with a manual measurement time input or optimized measurement time thanks to automatic stability recognition. It will record up to 999 measured values as well as system and method settings. Stored data is tamper-proof with secure login and audit trails that record configuration changes.
