More About this Item
The Labconco® acid-resistant CentriVap® benchtop vacuum concentrator is the ideal unit for processing corrosive samples. PTFE-coated wetted materials and a glass lid prevent etching and corrosion from acidic samples. A combination of centrifugal force, vacuum, and controlled heat eliminates bumping and foaming as vacuum is applied and concentrates the sample at the bottom of the vial for efficient recovery.
The microprocessor controls a fixed speed of 1725 rpm as well as the heater to provide reliable results. Easily set the parameters of temperature, heat time, and run time with the touch of a few buttons. Up to 9 programs can be set and altered while in progress. A Quick-Start™ button allows you to start the rotor, heater, timers, and vacuum pump simultaneously with the press of one button. Once the run is complete, the vacuum pump stops within seconds and the valve opens to bleed air into the chamber to prevent loss of sample.
The large 12” PTFE-coated chamber accommodates a variety of rotors for moderate to large sample throughput. The six-place microtiter plate rotor holds six standard 96-well plates or three deep-well plates. Easily change out the to process samples from a few microliters up to 25 mL; order separately.
Order vacuum pump, CentriVap® cold trap, acid-resistant rotor, and sample tubes separately to meet your application needs.
