These precision drives offer analog remote control options and simple programming—ideal for automated process applications. Drives feature a programmable dispense interval that lets you set the delay between dispense cycles for convenient, automated dispensing. Programmed calibration ensures dispense and display accuracy—drive stores one calibration value per tubing size.
Program the drive via the simple membrane keypad; keypad lock/unlock feature protects settings. Motor is reversible so you can purge tubing before or after pumping and pump fluid in either direction.

Pumps are great until they fail...and they will fail

We have purchased a number of these pumps over a couple year period and now have more than half a dozen of them. Every single one of them has now failed with the exact same error code and had to have the board replaced. Which is especially problematic because a few of them failed mid experiment and after the warranty expired. I think if a company knows their product is flawed they should recall it instead of waiting until the warranty expires and forcing the customer to pay for a repair on a defective device.

We are overall satisfied with this product. Although a bit expensive for what it is, in the long run it is worth it and is good value. It is so much easier to use this device then to manually pipet large amounts of tubes. The interface is simple and easy to use. The only down side is that the calibration process takes a bit too long, and we often have to estimate then measure ourselves. But for aliquoting the same volume it seems to be very accurate.

  • Q:

    Can you clarify the power requirement for this pump? We are having it run on a solar panel/battery system with an inverter and I want to make sure the loading is only 75W. The 2.2A at 115VAC rating is what has me worried, but that is misleading because current and voltage are not in phase correct(i.e. P does not equal 2.2A times 115V)?

      This pump will not work with that specific hand-held remote because the PIN connections would be different. You could however utilize the hand-held remote part number 07523-97 with this drive.

    we are using this pump remote, controlling it through the DB9 connector. Is there a way to count the motor rotations?
    Is something known about mounting a hall sensor to the head? Can you please advise what the best way is to go?

      A:

      Unfortunately, this unit does not allow for a way to count motor rotations remotely. The RPM is only available to be displayed in continuous mode on the screen. This unit has a DB25 connector mounted on the back for remote outputs. Pin 1 represents voltage input and pin 14 represents voltage output.

      A:

      It would depend on how often you use the pump. You should calibrate anytime the application changes to receive optimum accuracy. You should calibrate when the tubing is changed as well. If you see an issue with the accuracy, the pump should be calibrated.

      This pump is not listed for hazardous locations that need to meet Class 1 Div 2 standards.

  • Q:

    Hi

    I used to own the older model of the L/S pump WU-07523-50. My application requires the pump connecting to a timed power outlet. With the old model, when the power is cut and resumed the drive automatically turns back on with the preset speed.

    However, recently when I replace it with this newer model WU-07522-30, the drive will not resume running after the power is cut off and resumed.

    Is there a setting or workaround where I can control the pump with a timed outlet like the older model?

      A:

      Power cycling this drive with a timer is not recommended. I would suggest using the internal batch dispensing options to set the delay between cycles.
