This compact, hand held time domain reflectometer is designed for locating faults on metallic cables making it ideal for linemen in the communication and power industries. Meter provides a minimum resolution of 0.1 m/0.3 ft, and a 5 km/15,000 ft maximum range depending on velocity factor selected and cable type, and features an auto selection option to ensure that the most effective parameters are chosen, depending on the range required, aiding in rapid diagnosis of the TDR trace. Select from four output impedances (25, 50, 75, and 100) and velocity factors between 0.2 and 0.99 for additional measurement flexibility.
The dual cursors make operation and control of the meter easy and provide an instant indication of distance between two points. The unique, one-button press and hold feature allows comparison between cable condition and the selection option function, together with a four-way control switch, offers intuitive operation. High resolution, combined with the white-light backlight and grayscale tones, provides a vibrant graphical display that makes identifying key events on the trace simple.
