More About this Item
The MTR105 tester takes the abilities of Megger insulation resistance (IR), inductance, and capacitance testers to provide the perfect handheld tester for static motors. Measurement capabilities include insulation resistance measurement from 100Ω to 200GΩ with polarization index, an accuracy to -0% to +2% ±2 V, and temperature compensation. Test voltages of 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V are available with varying accuracy. The bidirectional DLRO four wire Kelvin low resistance function measures from 1 mΩ to 10 Ω of resistance, ±0.25% reading ± 10 digits accuracy, 200 mA test current, and 0.01 Ω resolution. The bidirectional test option automatically reverses the current without reconnecting the leads for your convenience.
Other test functions include three phase AC/DC voltage measurement up to 1000 V, bidirectional continuity testing from 0.01Ω to 1 MΩ, capacitance from 0.1 nF to 1 mF (±5.0% ±2 digit accuracy), inductance measurement from 2 mH to 1 H, motor rotation test, and phase rotation indication. The temperature measurement function allows compensation in IR tests. The supplied type T thermocouple measures from -20°C to 200°C (4°F to 392°F), but with a type K or J thermocouple can measure up to 1000°C (1832°F). The temperature feature has an accuracy of ±1.0 °C ±20 digits and a 0.1°C resolution.
The MTR105 features a simple user interface with a rotary dial and push-button to select and modify tests on the full color graphic display. The rugged, over-molded rubber case and ABS housing provide environmental protection to IP54, including the battery and fuse compartment. User replaceable, rechargeable batteries can perform a full suite of tests on up to ten motors, or 1200 insulation or continuity tests. The internal memory stores test results for up to 256 motors, which can then be downloaded via USB.
