TDR2050 Time Domain Reflectometer This step TDR is for use on CAT IV-600 V power circuits. Step TDR technology injects the signal at full strength until a disturbance is detected—perfect for detecting near end faults standard pulse TDRs miss. Additionally, the TDR2050 features Distance Dependent Gain (DDG) for a more even representation of the relative attenuation at all points along the trace, and FindEnd function to automatically search the trace to identify the end of the cable under test.
This advanced dual-channel time domain reflectometer (TDR) helps locate cable faults for responsive or routine maintenance, quality control checks in manufacturing, shipping, and inventory management, tracking down illegal taps, and performance checks on cables in hard-to-reach or hazardous locations. The Auto option aids in rapid diagnosis of the TDR trace, while still having the option to then switch into manual mode for fine tuning and identification of difficult to determine faults.
Store up to 100 traces with the internal memory. Stored traces may be recalled and compared to an active display to aid in fault location, uniquely named using the trace tag feature (up to 32 alphanumeric characters), or downloaded to a PC for later analysis. The included TraceXpert software provides full control of downloading, reporting, and uploading of saved trace results—ideal for all your data processing requirements.
This TDR has an IP54 rating for indoor or outdoor use, and the large color display is adjustable for easy viewing in any environment. Choose from six preprogrammed color schemes or create your own. Two custom color-scheme settings may be saved to the device—great for overcoming eye conditions, such as red-green or blue-yellow color blindness.
