More About this Item

Use the time domain reflectometer to detect faults in long or inaccessible length of cables. The TDR500/3 works on types of transmission cables including twisted pair, coaxial and parallel conductors to locate the position of the break or degradation with great accuracy. Designed for field engineers in the communication industry, this compact handheld reflectometer is easy to use in the field. An IP54-rated hard ABS case protects meter from dust and rain.

There is no need to guess which parameter should be selected, the AUTO option automatically selects the most effective parameters ensuring fast TDR trace diagnosis. A simple selection option together with a four-way control switch offer an intuitive operation. Four output impedances (25, 50, 75, 100 O) and velocity factor between 0.2 and 0.99 help meet any cable test requirements. Easily view the trace on extra high resolution backlit graphics monochrome LCD. A trace HOLD feature freezes the trace on the screen for easier analysis.
