  • Q:

How often should the meter be calibrated?

      A:

The frequency of calibration will depend on your accuracy needs and frequency of use. If accuracy is of major concern, I suggest calibrating once a day, before taking your measurements. If your accuracy requirements are not as strict, you could easily move to a once a week calibration schedule.

  • Q:

How do i calibrate the salinity meter? Is there buffer solution i can purchase?

      A:

Yes, there are conductivity and salinity calibration standards. The most common conductivity/salinity standards are part numbers 00653-47 (215 ppm NaCl), 00653-18 (745 ppm NaCl). There are others that may work better for the range you are working in though. Please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found in the "contact us" section on the web page).
