Out of box and being tested in less than 5 min. Flow rate is reasonable at high speed, but a little noisy. Tubing is stiff, but can be used with hydrofluoric acid. We needed to pump HF out of baths and into bottles for disposal. Safe setup with secondary containment took some time, but that is not an issue with the pump. Works great. Delivered next day ordering (just) before 3pm.

    We tried 15 size tubing and it won't work with 180 centipoise fluid. I can't find any spec about viscosity. What size tubing/pump do i need for 180 CPS?

      There is no specific size tubing listed for specific viscosities. The tubing size depends on the flow rate you want to achieve as well as the viscosity of the fluid. For high viscosity fluids, a low RPM will give better flow. You can contact our technical department with your specific application for further assistance.     The 77910-20 peristaltic pump with an easy load head says operating temperature is 0C to 40C.
    Does this refer to the pump temperature or the material being pumped?
    Also is there another head that will take #24 tubing that has a higher temperature range and is compatible with the economy drive? We need to pump 100C material.

      A:

      The operating temperature is referring to the ideal environmental temperature under which the drive can operate. The tubing itself will have it's own ideal temperature range. For example, this system is sent out with size L/S 24 C-Flex Ultra which has a dynamic or pumping temperature range of -50 - 40°C while the Puri-Flex has a dynamic temperature range of -30 - 100°C.

    What sizes of Telfon tubing can be used for this pump? What's the part number of the tubing? I am looking for something that can pump at least 1 liter per minute. Thanks.

      I apologize, but PTFE tubing cannot be used in the Easy-Load II Pump Head. We do have PTFE tubing pump heads, but they do not go up to 1 LPM. Please see the Gore tubing formulations for alternates that can be used in this Pump Head.

  • Q:

    Is there a foot speed control that i can buy for this pump?
    It has speed control built in so, can I set the speed at full and use an auxillary foot potentiometer to control the speed?
    If not, can you recomend a pump this size that has foot speed control or an alternative.

      No, this unit does not have a compatible foot switch or remote. The 77916-20 system, the next step up, would be compatible with the 77595-35 foot switch though.
      The foot switch simply turns the unit on or off, none have a foot switch with speed control.

      The Tygon LFL tubing portion that comes with this system has excellent compatibility with acetic acid at concentrations below 5%. Most other tubing compositions have excellent compatibility above 5%, however we would need to know if you have any other specifications that would need to be met before we can make a more specific suggested replacement (like whether you require FDA approval or need it approved for a specific sterilizing method).       One of the most economical options would be Tygon Lab tubing (sizes 15, 24, 35, or 36 depending upon the flowrate needed). The part numbers for these sizes are 06429-15, 06429-24, 06429-35, and 06429-36.
