More About this Item

Monitor and control the concentration of dissolved solids or water soluble liquids in your process lines with this in-line process refractometer. Refractometer accurately measures the refractive index of your process, providing temperature compensated readings that can easily be correlated to a percent solids, Brix, Be, or specific gravity scale.
Easy user-controlled required calibration and temperature compensation capability allows you to tailor calibration and compensation to your specific process. Refractometer is factory-calibrated to 0 to 40% Brix in an operating range of 80 to 100°F. Required custom calibration (81005-20) is available within a measuring range of 0 to 100% Brix equivalent. Temperature compensate for spans of ±20°F over a range of 0 to 250°.
Sensing unit features state-of-the-art, silicone detector with stainless steel sensing head and sapphire prism that remain inert to essentially all liquids over teh operating temperature range of the device. High-intensity visible LED light source is designed for long life and low maintenance. Built-in AGC loop compensates for LED aging and suspended solids, guaranteeing maximum accuracy.
NEMA 4 head and console are watertight and drip proof. Refractometer operates on 120 or 240 VAC input power - no special wiring required. Unit can be mounted onto the side of a tank or can be installed in-line.
