More About this Item

Thermo Scientific Barnstead FI-Streem® II stills feature automatic controls to monitor water flow and temperature; stills shut off heat if drain is left open or feed water flow is interrupted. Water level sensor activates stills as needed to keep reservoir full. Stills come in 1.5- and 2-liter/hour models and produce water with resistivity up to 1.0 MΩ-cm. Optional 8-liter storage reservoir available (sold separately at below).
Order a solenoid valve below to give your still dual-feed capabilities when using pretreated water. Feed pretreated water directly to the still while running tap water through the cooling coil. Still includes 6-ft cord with three-prong plug.

      A:

This unit weighs roughly 41 pounds without water and will hold 1.5L of water. If we assume water to be 1g/mL, then we can estimate the unit to be holding 1500g of water, and estimate the overall weight to be roughly 44 pounds when filled.
