  • Q:

What type of reference cell does this probe use
Asked on 3/17/2016 by Sam from Nevada

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

Since this is a combination electrode, it does not need any additional reference cell. It is a Ag/AgCl probe.

  • Q:

Does the electrode probe have an expiration date? how often should they be replaced after opening or upon receiving?
    Asked on 3/8/2016 by Claudia

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The electrode does not have an expiration date. Typical life of an electrode will vary from 6 months to one year. This will be dictated by the type of application it is used and how the probe is care for and maintained. The best way to determine when a probe needs to be replaced would be to base this off of the slope range after calibrating. If the slope falls below 90% and is not able to be calibrated with your meter then a new probe should be considered.

  • Q:

Is there a an option to purchase a probe comparable to this that has a longer cord? Looking for 6 to 8 ft.
Asked on 12/14/2015 by Bwa from Salem, VA

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

Since this electrode has an ATC connection, which is a 2.5 mm audio plug, there is no extension cable for this ATC connection. There is no electrode we offer with this ATC connection and BNC that is longer.

  • Q:

Will the 35811-72 probe work with the pH 450 meter? The pH 450 does not have a port for the temperature sensor.
Asked on 2/12/2015 by Doug Kieffer

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The pH would work with the BNC connected. No ATC would be possible. 35808-72 would be the pH/ATC probe for the pH 450 meter.

  • Q:

Is it compatible with Accumet AB15?
    Asked on 9/11/2012 by W

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The pH portion (BNC) will mate with the AB15, however, the ATC will not be compatible. I would suggest the 59500-81 as a replacement.
