Silicon nitrite offers extremely high resistance to abrasion and very long-wearing due to superior hardness. Ideal for grinding hard, brittle samples to an analytical fineness in the Mixer/Mill® grinders. Vial exhibits moderate efficiency but very low levels of contamination and is suitable for slurry grinding.

Hardness: Mohs: 8 ½ + Knoop 1600.
